Grove City Medical Center Maternal Child Health Team Receives Honor
The staff of Grove City Medical Center’s Maternal Child Health Department has been awarded a Childbirth Nursing Award, sponsored by Johnson’s and the Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses. The team received the award based upon the nomination of an anonymous patient for their extraordinary care and special attention during the birth of a baby in September 2004.
Jan McGeehan, Director of Maternal Child Health said, “We are very proud and honored to receive this award, especially since it is the result of a patient-nomination. Excellent patient care and customer service are very important to the nursing staff on this unit and they work hard every day to make sure these goals are met.”
Along with the certificate of recognition, the department was automatically entered into a drawing for an opportunity to win one of four $1,000 educational grants and two complementary registrations to the 2005 Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses convention, held later this year.
