Have you ever wondered what happens with your responses when you take the time and effort to answer a survey? Linda O’Brien, Director of Pharmacy for Grove City Medical Center recently found out when her own comments appeared in Pharmacy Practice News, a professional journal for pharmacists. O’Brien shared her thoughts regarding the delivery by hospital pharmacies of out-patient Medication Therapy Management Services (MTMS) with the publication when they conducted a nationwide opinion poll of their readers.

“I’m optimistic that we’ll have a program that’s solid, dependable and a real community presence in 2006,” said O’Brien in the article. Through her responses, the publication’s editors noted that GCMC is prepared to make the move towards MTMS because of several factors, including “the fact that they already have a proven track record of counseling patients. Indeed, the hospital has been running diabetes and overall senior health and nutrition awareness programs for the past two years” said the magazine.

Much of the lengthy article focused on O’Brien’s responses, positioning GCMC as well ahead of the curve on this Medicare Part D reimbursable service for 2006 from other healthcare providers across the country that are similar in size and structure.
