“Breast Cancer & The Environment”
On Monday, September 11th at 6 p.m.
According to the National Cancer Institute, about
two-thirds of all cancers have an environmental cause. Studying the environment
to find what causes cancer is complicated and challenging. Researchers look at
whether certain substances or chemicals cause tumors in animals. They also try
to find out if certain groups of people who have been exposed to these
substances have eventually developed cancer. The results of these studies can
sometimes teach us what causes cancer.
