Robert C. Jackson, Jr., MBA, FACHE,
Chief Executive Officer, was appointed to the
organization’s top leadership position in 2005, after
serving Grove City Medical Center at various other levels.
Hired in 1998 as Director of Managed Care, Rob’s role
evolved through the years as he assumed more responsibility
and made significant contributions to the accomplishment of
the hospital’s strategic goals, eventually serving as Vice
President of Administrative and Physician Services. In that
position, he oversaw the hospital’s cardiovascular
services, corporate compliance, laboratory services,
medical staff services, off-campus diagnostic centers,
rehabilitation services and utilization review.
Prior to joining Grove City Medical
Center, Rob was Manger of Payer Relations for UPMC
Physicians. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business
Administration from Westminster College and earned a Masters
in Business Administration from the University of
Pittsburgh’s Joseph M. Katz Graduate School of Business. He
is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare
Executives. Rob is active in various community organizations
and holds several associated board posts.
David A. Poland, CPA, MBA, Vice
President of Finance and Chief Finance Officer, is an
experienced Senior Financial Executive with over 20 years
experience in healthcare finance and operations in large
urban integrated health care delivery systems and
community-based hospitals. His responsibilities have
included the financial management functions, investment
management/treasury operations, patient financial services,
risk management, managed care contracting, materials
management and information systems.
Dave’s healthcare experience includes
Chief Financial Officer positions with Mount Carmel Health,
Columbus Ohio, Santa Rosa Healthcare, San Antonio Texas and
Meadville Medical Center, Meadville Pennsylvania. Prior to
healthcare, he worked 10 years as a certified public
accountant for Coopers & Lybrand in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Dave is a Certified Public Accountant
licensed in the State of Ohio; has a Master of Business
Administration from Capital University, Columbus Ohio and a
Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of
Cincinnati, Cincinnati Ohio.
Brad VanSickles, R.N., LNHA, Vice
President of Operations and Patient Safety, has been
with Grove City Medical Center for 8 years. For the first
several years, he provided Licensed Nursing Home
Administrator support for the hospital’s Transitional Care
Center. Then, in 2009 he accepted the appointment to his
current role, which makes him the highest ranking clinical
officer of the organization.
Brad’s career in health care has taken
him through the ranks from his beginnings working in the
dietary department of a hospital, through all aspects of
nursing, and then administration, across long-term and acute
care organizations. He brings expertise to his position
gained from his unique experiences along the way in nearly
all phases of patient care.
A Registered Nurse, Brad is also a
Licensed Nursing Home Administrator and holds a Masters in
Business Administration and recently completed a second
Master’s Degree in Health Administration.
Donald E. Henley, Vice President of
Human Resources, joined Grove City Medical Center on
January 1, 1985, when he was hired as a Family and Drug and
Alcohol therapist. Three years later, he moved into the
Human Services Department as Program Supervisor.
Ultimately, he was appointed Director of Human Resources,
and then Vice President. Don has held the top leadership
position in Human Resources for the past 20 years, making
him the longest serving Human Resources administrator in the
history of the hospital.
Don received his Bachelor of Arts
degree in Psychology from Thiel College in Greenville,
Pennsylvania, and his Master’s degree (MSW) from the
University of Pittsburgh and previous to joining the
organization he worked for Catholic Social Services of the
Erie Diocese.
JoAnne Clobus, Vice President of
Marketing & Public Relations, has been with Grove City
Medical Center for five years. Originally from Youngstown,
Ohio, she holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Professional
Writing & Editing, as well as a Master of Arts in English
and graduate certificates in Professional Writing & Editing
and Bioethics, all from Youngstown State University.
Prior to joining the organization, she
served as Corporate Director of Marketing and Public
Relations for Forum Health in Youngstown. She worked as a
free-lance reporter, covering health and medical news for
the Tribune Chronicle, in Warren, Ohio and has been
published nationally. She has also produced several
television news items for NBC, including one segment of a
series on autism with UPMC.
For several years, JoAnne taught
Foundations of Public Relations at Youngstown State
University to students majoring in Business Administration,
Marketing and Public Relations. |
