HOME HEALTH SERVICES
Established in 1986, Home Health Services at Grove City Medical Center provides a wide range of in-home care to patients in and around Grove City.

Staffing
Nine Registered Nurses provide specialized wound care, IV therapy, disease management, medication management, home safety, tube feedings and health education. Two home care aides provide and support personal care, such as bathing and dressing for those who are unable to do so without assistance.

A social worker assists patients and families in accessing community resources, arranging for caregiver systems, acquiring home medical equipment and medications. They also provided counseling.

Physical therapists provide gait training, strengthening exercises, balance, ambulation, transfers and home safety education.

Occupational therapists focus on improving function of activities of daily living, such as dressing, cleaning and meal preparation.

Speech therapists focus on speech and language and swallowing disorders.

Accessibility
Home Health nurses are on call 7 days a week from 4 p.m. until midnight. For patients receiving continuous IV medication or continuous G-tube feedings, a nurse is available around the clock.

Community Outreach
Home Health staff volunteer their time and talent in many ways throughout the community by attending health fairs and providing blood pressure and osteoporosis screenings and supporting the administration of approximately 1,500 flu vaccines each year.
