MEDICAL IMAGING
Through an evolution that began several years ago, Grove City Medical Center’s Medical Imaging transitioned its technology from film to digital. Comparing film to digital imaging is much like stacking film against digital photography. Film produces and stores a static, one-dimensional image. In digital imaging, a computer creates and stores an image that can be enhanced, magnified or manipulated to help radiologists detect almost imperceptible abnormalities.
