The Mary Ellen Liggitt Healthcare Scholarship was established in 1990 by the Grove City Medical Center Volunteers as a tribute to former Volunteer President Mary Ellen Liggitt. Mrs. Liggitt, an active participant in many community and hospital programs, contributed over 20 years of service to the hospital and its patients, and her outstanding dedication has long since been remembered.

The GCMC Volunteers are pleased to offer their $1,000 Mary Ellen Liggitt Healthcare Scholarship to an area student interested in preparing for a career in healthcare service. Any interested senior or graduate may apply for this scholarship by completing an application form and essay stating his/her goals and reasons for selecting a career in the healthcare field. A transcript and three reference letters also are required. One recipient will be selected.

Interested students who would like an application or have questions about the requirements for scholarship consideration should contact Grove City Medical Center’s public relations office by calling 724-450-7191. Completed applications must be returned by April 15, 2018.
