Your health is a personal matter. As your health care
provider, we work hard to protect your privacy.
As part of our efforts to protect your privacy and keep your
personal health information confidential, we’ve updated our
privacy policy and have begun making it available to you
when you come to our facility for care. Our privacy policy,
or Notice of Privacy Practices describes the ways in which
we both use and protect your health information.
It explains your rights to inspect, copy and amend your
medical information. It also outlines your rights to
restrict or limit how we use and share your health
information.
Please be assured that the GCMC staff and volunteers have
been trained to be sensitive about confidentiality and
patient privacy. We restrict the release of information
about you to only those who need to know. State and federal
laws regulate the use and release of information to those
who provide, pay for and improve your care. We also maintain
physical, electronic and procedural safeguards to protect
your health information.
When you are a patient at GCMC, please let us know
throughout your care if you have any questions or concerns
about your privacy. Patient privacy, like patient
satisfaction, is very important to us. |
