Grove City Medical Center’s physical therapy department
provides a wide range of rehabilitative therapies to those
patients who are staying at the hospital, as well as
outpatients who visit by appointment. The department is
staffed by licensed physical therapists, many of whom hold
doctorate degrees, licensed certified occupational
therapists and licensed speech language pathologists.
Support staff includes licensed physical therapist
assistants and physical therapy technicians. “We are committed to establishing and maintaining the
most effective level of communication among therapists to
monitor your care as you progress through the levels of
care: inpatient, transitional care, home health and
outpatient.”

Physical therapy services include:
- Orthopedics, neurology, sports medicine, geriatrics
and wound care
- Recreational and athletic sports rehabilitation
- Pre- and post-operative joint and other surgical
treatment
- Neck and back therapy
- Work injury management
- Trauma rehabilitation
- Patient education
- Balance dysfunction

- Hand and upper extremity injuries
- Vestibular and balance rehabilitation
- Neurological and stroke deficits
- Orthopedics, geriatrics and general rehabilitation
- Wheelchair assessments
- Low vision
- Home assessments and modifications
Speech therapy services include:
- Prevention, diagnosis and rehabilitation of
communication, swallowing and cognitive limitations in
children and adults
- Speech, language, voice, swallowing, attention,
memory, thought processes and use of speech generating
devices
- Modified barium swallow studies are also provided on
inpatient and outpatient basis
GCMC’s rehabilitative therapies

overseen by the same therapist

Tuesday & Friday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Inpatient/TCC Physical Therapy Hours
Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Home Health Physical Therapy Hours
Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Speech and Occupational Therapy Hours
Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Insurance
We accept Medicare, Worker’s Compensation, UPMC, auto,
PPO/HMO plans and state/federal Medicaid plans. We will be
happy to verify insurance coverage for your treatment prior
to your first appointment. We will inform you if your
particular insurance plan requires a pre-authorization or a
co-payment for specific services. We are not subject to
Medicare’s outpatient therapy cap. |
